A personalised animated Christmas card for Novartis: around 15 real team members individually illustrated as winter-sports characters and animated within one branded snowy scene, to say thank you to a departing colleague, Joe.

The Brief

Novartis wanted a personal way to send a colleague, Joe, off for Christmas — something warmer and more individual than a standard card.

What Cumi Created

Cumi built one large illustrated snowy scene, a mountainside complete with a branded snowman, a cabin and a campfire, then populated it with roughly 15 individually illustrated characters, each one a real team member reimagined as a winter-sports figure: skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, playing ice hockey, sledging, driving a toy car through the snow. Each character was then animated into its own short clip, so every person's own moment could be shared individually as well as part of the whole scene.
