A 3-minute film for Rio Tinto's AGM, tracing the company's progress from its earliest days to the giant machinery of today, made to a 16-day turnaround for their 140th anniversary.
The Brief
Rio Tinto is a leading global mining and metals company, focused on finding, mining and processing the Earth's mineral resources to maximise value for its shareholders. Cumi was given the opportunity to produce a 3-minute film to be played at their AGM, and to help celebrate the company's history as it approached its 140th birthday.
What Cumi Created
The film celebrates Rio Tinto's progression as a company: opening on a group of men using hand tools, and moving through to the giant machines the company now uses that dwarf the workers beside them.
Process & Approach
This was a fast-turnaround film: the team worked through most nights to deliver it from concept to delivery in 16 days.
