War Torn: Warriors
Animated map sequences for War Torn, a two-part documentary special chronicling the experiences of injured British service personnel as they scale the Everest region of the Himalayas on the 80-man Khumbu Challenge expedition — part of a five-year initiative to help rehabilitate members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. The documentary follows how these men, dealing with the loss of limbs, facial disfigurement or mental trauma after service in Afghanistan and Iraq, recover from their wounds, both physical and emotional. Cumi designed and animated all of the maps for the two episodes, working alongside Undabo. War Torn was screened Tuesday 22 & Wednesday 23 December, 9pm, on Sky1 HD & Sky1.
